Shiny Hair

A woman’s hair is often more like an accessory, and can be the first thing people notice when she walks in a room. In a perfect world, we would all have the lustrous locks we see in the commercials. But the reality is our roots disclose the secret of our true color, needle-sharp split ends, and often our natural color appears dull and lifeless. It’s no wonder we’re glued to the mirror throughout the day, just to maintain our manes. The following are some tips few offer for getting silky, shiny, vibrant hair. The next time you walk in a room, your vibrant hair will only have fabulous things to say.

First and foremost, practice healthy habits and be consistent. The vitamins and nutrients we consume directly benefit (or hinder) our hair, contributing to its shine, strength, and overall health. Additionally, staying properly hydrated helps keep hair soft, flexible, and drinking lots of water also works to prevent breakage with brittle, dried-out, split ends. It is important to note that increasing hydration with water intake doesn’t mean to wash hair more often. Actually the contrary is true. Shampooing or washing every day will counteract any moisture being absorbed, as will constant heat exposure from blow-drying, curling, or straightening. To increase your water consumption and stay hydrated, try to carry a water bottle with you throughout the day. Over a period of time you will notice the additional water helps get shiny hair, but improves the health of your body overall.
